Overview
Character.AI is a generative AI chatbot service where users can design \"characters\" by specifying a personality, style and background, then chat with them or share them publicly. It supports text-based conversations with customizable AI characters, community-shared bots and user-generated content. The platform targets entertainment, creative writing, roleplay, storytelling, casual chat, and creative ideation. Character.AI uses a freemium model: the basic functionality is free, while a paid subscription (c.ai+) provides priority access, faster responses and early access to new features. Since late 2025 Character.AI also enforces an age-restriction: users under 18 are banned from open-ended chat and are restricted to a trimmed “under-18 experience”.

look I love this app I really do but I don't love is the new age verification why do I need to show you my ID to prove how old I am I am almost 23 years old this is making me want to go to other apps or something else .
