Key Benefits

Personalized mental health companion

Youper adapts to you over time – learning your mood patterns and preferences. It uses this knowledge to personalize suggestions, making your self-care journey uniquely yours.

Fast and convenient support

Conversations with Youper often take just 5 minutes. It fits into busy schedules, providing on-demand relief whether you’re in between meetings or winding down at night.

Bridging self-help and clinical insight

Co-created by psychiatrists, Youper’s AI dialogues are informed by proven therapy techniques. The app cleverly translates clinical strategies into friendly chat, helping users help themselves in an approachable way.

Who This Is For

Busy parent juggling stress

Profile: A 40-year-old working parent who uses Youper to unwind at the end of the day with a quick meditation and to talk through any frustration or worries via chat.
Benefits: Finds short, guided reflections help let go of daily tension. Appreciates that Youper remembers their goals (e.g., improving sleep) and suggests tailored exercises each evening.
Considerations: Needs discipline to use it regularly; sometimes forgets to log mood. The AI’s advice can be somewhat generic if they have a very specific concern not covered in-app.

Therapy newcomer

Profile: A 25-year-old hesitant to see a therapist, trying Youper as a gentle introduction to self-help and to build emotional vocabulary.
Benefits: Gains confidence by identifying feelings with Youper’s help. Enjoys the personality quiz and learning about themselves. Feels more prepared to perhaps seek human therapy later.
Considerations: Wonders how much the AI truly ‘gets’ them; sometimes wishes for human empathy. Complex trauma isn’t something the app can fully address; it's mainly for day-to-day mood coaching.

great AI, helpful, And I really did get a lot out of the interaction- I thought the ai chat was intelligent and intuitive, and it did help me discussing some questions and problems. What I didn't prefer is that is was just me and text. An interface with more visual appeal would help me engaging.

Update: Since I was unable to load the ap, I told support I wanted them to cancel my annual subscription. They told me I had to unsubscribe via Google Play, which I did. Today I got an annual charge. Waiting for a refund as I requested. I absolutely loved this app, but it stopped loading on my phone. :(

I've had this app since 2018 ish. I loved it so much. in a world always wanting to make a dime. this app was the easiest way for me to actually jot my feelings quickly. and the quizzes helped see where my mindset was. decided I'm gonna work on my shadow self. everyone wants $60 a year for me to take care of myself. so I jumped back on youper and look at that. half the stuff I was able to do before I have to pay for now. you know the ppl who need it the most can't afford any of this.

It allows you to find solutions for yourself. It's a mood tracker. It allows you the freedom of choice to be your own brain detective. It also has great info to do your own research and the fact this was made by a therapist as a kind of therapy makes me relieved that the info is legit and helpful. So if having a really smart, intuitive app is for you then this is a good app to try out. It now has a subscription fee.

it feels like a robot and the user interface is lackluster even in the paid version
